Good to know

Enjoy a unique Poconos camping experience here at Streamside Acres. Enjoy the calm serenity of running water, rustling leaves, wildlife, and a crackling fire. The rustic campsite is located streamside. There is a 10’x12’ tent containing a queen size futon style mattress on a bed frame. The tent is large enough to accommodate 2 adults and 3 to 4 children. A pop-up tent is provided for extra sleeping space as necessary. For a small fee we can provide a golf cart and access to an RV kitchen, restroom and shower located near the parking area. Nearby attractions: Big Creek Winery, Haydt's Meat Market (PA Dutch style), Blue Mountain Ski Resort and downhill mountain bike park, a portion of the Appalachian Trail, and Beltzville Lake State Park. In early spring to mid-June, the creek is suitable for kayaking (or tubing) from the site down to Beltzville Lake. There is a firepit, a picnic table, and outdoor furniture. There is a working barn across the street with grazing cattle. For fishermen, the creek is suitable for light spinner and fly fishing with native species of trout.

Other Details to Note

For an extra $25 per night, we offer a golf cart rental for moving around the property. We also offer access to an RV onsite for $25 per night. The RV has a small kitchen, bathroom, and shower. Due to regulations, overnight stays in the RV are prohibited, but day use is acceptable. Both the golf cart and RV can be bundled together for $50 per night. For $10 flat fee, we can provide a small propane heater for the tent on cold nights. We provide firewood for the first night and have more onsite for purchase at $5 per bundle.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

This is rural Pennsylvania so there are only a few neighbors, lush forests, farmland, and plenty of wildlife!

Guest Access

Guests are free to roam the property, and especially encouraged to check out the stream! Please do not attempt to access the stream by going through the woods near the camper site. The best access is by walking towards the main house and garage and heading down the mowed grass hill that leads to a smaller path through the trees. You will arrive at a flat area that leads to the creek.

This place was just as described! It was peaceful, private, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating. While I had previous plans to hike, the space itself was a perfect outdoor getaway for us city-folk. We grilled, we sat along the fireplace, and our dog enjoyed it every minute of the water. I highly recommend staying here.

This place was awesome exactly what you would want when camping and you aren’t use to camping that much. Had everything you needed the property was clean and beautiful. Tent was perfect and bed was great too. The propane heater and firewood came in handy. Definitely would recommend this stay especially if doing Jim Thorpe its not to far.
